Sayed started his early career at a multinational manufacturing and retailing company in Bangladesh, being responsible for large-scale manufacturing and designing high-end fashion and comfort footwear and accessories after completing his degree in Footwear Engineering. He also got hands-on training and experience in retail, wholesale, and institutional sales operations while working and completing his MBA in Management Information Systems. Recognising the customers’ needs, designing appropriate and cost-effective products, and bringing efficiency in manufacturing and distribution have been his key interests from the beginning of his professional career.

Sayed recognised the need to shift the priorities on how footwear can add more value to everyone’s health and well-being, which led him to complete his training and certification in Pedorthics as C Ped CM (Australia).

He has also submitted his PhD thesis at the school of health and human science, Southern Cross University, Australia. The best clinical practice guidelines on diabetic foot ulcer management and prevention through appropriate footwear are the core focus of his PhD study.

Sayed founded the specialised diabetic foot care and Pedorthic footwear services company, “Foot Balance Technology”, operating from Sydney, Australia and Dhaka, Bangladesh, since 2016.
With years of dedication, he has established a stronger collaborative referral pathway with other health professionals, including GPs, Podiatrists, Physios, Foot & Ankle Surgeons, P&O’s, Rehab Specialists, etc., and practice true interdisciplinary approaches for the greater benefit of patients and clinicians.

While running the Foot Balance Technology business and working with various multidisciplinary clinical teams, Sayed found the gap in technology intervention and specific digital tools. The recognised gap was to increase efficiency, accuracy and consistency in clinical assessment, wound management, biomechanical and human body 3D data acquisition, orthopedic, assistive & medical devices design and manufacturing. Hence, through collaboration with a few like-minded, enthusiastic, leading professionals, Sayed co-founded EYM (Ease Your Motion) Pty Ltd. It has a few divisions of digital health technology, such as DT Scanner, DT ROM, Proclinix, and DT Wound Care. These innovative digital technologies and patent-pending assistive clinical devices are set to be the game changers in clinical practice, wound care management, assistive medical device design and manufacturing in pedorthics, podiatry, wound care, prosthetics & orthotics and any other orthopedic application.

Sayed has published articles in leading scientific journals and peer-reviewed many scientific journal articles, including the British Medical Journal (BMJ) and PlosOne. He is also involved in academic lecturing and public speaking in his professional domains, nationally and internationally.
